I was born in Hamilton, Ontario in 1954. Like most children, I loved animals and enjoyed drawing. At a young age, I knew what I wanted to do... draw pictures for a living, become an artist. I consider myself very lucky in this respect because my goals were set very early in life. I have no formal training, I learned and continue to learn from my mistakes. Art is a process, and you are a student for life.
Growing up in Southern Ontario, my main influences were artists' Ken Danby, Glen Loates, and Peter Calle.
